30 Jun Adult Learners Celebrate Hope
Our Hope Room felt like home again after experiencing our socially-distanced middle school graduation and the year-end celebration of our Adult Education Program, which was held two days later. The adults had received virtual instruction throughout the entire pandemic, but they really missed their learning community and insisted on gathering to say goodbye to Sister Rose. Planned activities included boxed lunches, speeches, and certificates to celebrate significant progress made in reading, math, and language arts during the past fifteen months. The delight of teachers and students seeing each other in person – after such a long hiatus – made it feel more like the JOY Room instead of the HOPE Room!
