Hope Continues Community Engagement

Hope Continues Community Engagement

October has been a great month of Community Engagement in the Hope Community! On Tuesday, October 12th, Hope hosted a community resource meeting which was attended by over 100 members of the local community. The meeting included the sharing of resources by local non-profits, government agencies, and local politicians. The meeting culminated with an open forum, where challenges were identified and solutions were discussed. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for November.

On Friday, October 22nd, Hope partnered with Police Athletic League, Treehouse Books, The Heritage Baseball League, It Still Takes a Village, North Philly Community Roundtable Network, and the Police Assisted Diversion of Philadelphia Programs to host the first Reading Enlightens Amazing Days (R.E.A.D.) book give away. Free books and snacks were provided for learners of all ages. The program will continue during November and will culminate with a Thanksgiving food drive.
