Hope student Melvin recently celebrated an exciting milestone as a member of the inaugural class of Temple University’s Lang Medical Scholars Program.
Melvin and his fellow scholars were recognized during a special White Coat event at Temple University. Surrounded by family and friends, Melvin shared that it was one of his favorite moments. Feeling celebrated by the people who support him has made him even more motivated to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor one day.
As Melvin continues his education, he shared that he feels confident Hope will give him the tools and support he needs to continue working toward that goal.
We are so proud to see Melvin exploring his interests and envisioning where they can take him. Thank you to Temple University and everyone involved in the Lang Medical Scholars Program for creating opportunities that show young people all that is possible for their futures.
A special thank you to Kristen Graham of The Philadelphia Inquirer for capturing Melvin at the White Coat event and sharing this special moment.
